With the Christmas holiday that's just literally days away, most of us are already in our Christmas spirit, and with that comes a little bit of pressure to balance work, social media, and life. 🤔
You might even start to slip out in following through with your social media strategy because there's just too much going on!
And I'm not just talking about wrapping presents! I meant managing your business, year-end business commitments, you name it. 🤷♀️
It's time to start thinking about how you can make the most of your social media strategy without stressing out, or worst - burning out!
In fact, planning ahead can help you make the most of your holiday break without feeling like your social media is a chore 😊
Here are my TOP THREE BEST PRACTICES for using social media during the Christmas season:
1️⃣ Plan ahead and schedule your content up until the first week or second week of January 2023.
That way, you'll have enough breather and buffer time to prepare everything before you go on vacation.
Plus, you're setting the right tone when you get back to it after the New Year's celebration.
You wouldn't have to pressure yourself by then to create content or show up because you've already planned it out.
2️⃣ Create a social media break post, especially if you're taking time off during Christmas.
It can be an Instagram photo post that you can temporarily pin to your grid or an Instagram story that you can save in one of your Instagram highlights—whatever works for you!
This way, your audience/community knows you're taking a break and would know when to expect you to be back.
This also helps them manage their expectations especially if they sent you inquiries.
3️⃣ Plan on when you would want to engage with followers on social media.
If you're engaging five times a week for 30 minutes, try cutting it down to thrice a week or twice a week. You also deserve a break!
If you haven't yet, plot your engagement schedule to your digital calendar, and set a notification so you'll be reminded.
Try out these tips and see how they can help make your holiday season as stress-free as possible! ✨
Cheering you on,
MJ 💕
